Lusher Lashes
Anew product from Jan Marini Skin Research offers treatment for short, thinning and missing eyelashes. Age Intervention Eyelash offers an easy-to-use nightly eyelash treatment that provides noticeably longer, more lush, fuller, and darker lashes, according to the company.
Age Intervention Eyelash was developed by Jan Marini, a product researcher for more 30 years, to answer a very personal issue: her own struggle with alopecia areata. “At one point, I had a gap of almost one-half inch in my eyelashes,” she explained in a prepared statement.
Age Intervention Eyelash is available in a 0.23-oz tube container with an eyeliner brush applicator. Similarly applied as liquid eyeliner, Age Intervention Eyelash is swept across the upper lash line. Suggested retail price is $160, and each tube lasts for approximately 3 months.

New Skin Barrier Protection Cream
JSJPharmaceuticals has launched its Bionect (hyaluronic acid sodium salt 0.2%) cream, aqueous gel, and aqueous spray. A low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (HA), Bionect helps to create an optimal environment for managing treatment-induced skin breakdown. HA, the principle component in Bionect, is a natural biologic that is found in the extracellular matrix of the skin and throughout the body.
Bionect is extremely hydrophilic and capable of penetrating intact skin. It is also non-toxic, non-immunogenic and non-sensitizing. Bionect is available by prescription only.

New Thermage Tip
Thermage has introduced the 3.0-cm2 ThermaTip. With this larger tip, doctors can save time when performing procedures, thus reducing procedure cost, and improving patient comfort.
A multi-center clinical study showed that compared to the 1.5-cm2 tip, the larger 3.0-cm2 ThermaTip allows physicians to save time and increase patient comfort. In addition, the expanded treatment range allows Thermage to be performed on the most sensitive patients.
The 3.0-cm2 tip has twice the surface area as the 1.5-cm2 tip, allowing the same area of skin to be covered in half the time. In the multi-center study, the 3.0-cm2 tip had the same immediate efficacy as the 1.5-cm2 tip.
The price of the 3.0-cm2 tip is the same as the 1.5-cm2 tip. The 3.0cm2 tips became available in the United States this past November and will be globally available beginning this month. Physicians must comply with the 2005 Treatment Guidelines to receive the 3.0-cm2 tips.

Free Poster
Ferndale Laboratories, the manufacturer of hydrocortisone butyrate cream 0.1% (Locoid Lipocream) and hydrocortisone acetate/pramoxine HCl (Pramosone), is offering dermatologists a free, large, full-color poster aptly titled “Winterize Your Skin,” to be displayed in examination rooms or waiting rooms.
The poster takes patients through a series of easy-to-read bullets that highlight the causes of dry skin and disease flare-ups, ways to help prevent occurrences and various treatment options.
“Smart” technology allows the poster to be displayed on your wall without the use of tapes or nails. The back simply peels off and the poster adheres to the wall. It can be removed at any time without causing damage to the wall’s surface.

To receive a free poster (while supplies last), contact a Ferndale representative. Visit ferndalelabs.com.
