Synera AvailableEndo Pharmaceuticals has announced that its lidocaine 70-mg/ tetracaine 70-mg topical patch (Synera) is indicated for use on intact skin to provide local dermal analgesia for superficial venous access and superficial dermatologic procedures utilizing a self-warming feature. Synera is approved for use in adults and children 3 years and older. In clinical studies, the most common local reactions were erythema (71%), blanching (12%), and edema (12%); these reactions were generally mild, resolving spontaneously soon after treatment. Triax Launches Minocin Pac Triax Pharmaceuticals, LLC announced the launch of Minocin Pac to treat acne. The Minocin Pac, available through prescription, takes a dual (RX and cosmetic) approach to treating acne by providing an oral antibiotic along with calming skincare products.
