Candela to Launch New ProductsCandela Corporation will be launching four new products at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) annual conference in February: the SmoothPeel, GentleMAX, LightStation and Alextrivantage. The GentleMAX laser is for the removal of unwanted hair on all skin types as well as for the treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions, leg and facial veins, wrinkle reduction and skin tightening. The GentleMAX features 1.5-mm through 18-mm spot sizes and provides fast and effective treatments for a variety of conditions. The SmoothPeel laser, a low-power erbium laser, provides a precise and predictable superficial peel without the uncertainty and side effects associated with mid-level acid peels. The LightStation 100 with Fluorescent Pulsed Light (FPL) technology offers a wide range of treatment parameters that enable safe and effective options for treating acne, vascular and pigmented lesions and for gentle skin rejuvenation. The AlexTriVantage laser is the next generation of the AlexLAZR. AlexTriVantage offers additional wavelengths that represent new and better technology with the Q-switched 532 nm and 1064 nm laser-pump-laser handpieces enabling the removal of more tattoo colors and the treatment of a greater variety of pigmented lesions.
